Far Post Facilities Fit-Up Campaign 2007

 Dear Far Post Families & Friends,

 Hopefully, you have already heard or read about the upcoming Far Post Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Williston Golf Club on June 21st. We want to invite you, your family and friends to participate in this fun event. The purpose of this fundraiser, and others to come, is to benefit the Facilities Fit-up Campaign.  This campaign is to help retire the start-up loan borrowed by Far Post to acquire the turf, nets and other equipment necessary to fit up our new home at The Soccer Center in Essex Junction.  Please see the enclosed flyer and information about our first “Far Post Fairway Frenzy” golf tournament.

 So maybe you’re not a golfer, but you are still a member of the Far Post family! For those of you who care about the Club, and would like to contribute in another way, we are offering you the opportunity to donate directly to the Facilities Fit-up Campaign.

 Far Post has always run itself as a tight financial entity, practicing fiscal responsibility at every opportunity. This is how you probably run your household and our Club is no different. When we moved into The Soccer Center last summer we made a carefully thought out decision to borrow funds in order to fit up the indoor fields properly.

 We could pay off the loan gradually, along with interest, but it will save a considerable amount of money if we can retire the loan early. The terms of our loan allow for early repayment ~ but with fundraising dollars and not general operating revenue.  We’re asking all Far Post families, friends and alumni to get involved in this effort. Our goal this fundraising campaign is $15,000.

 If 350 Far Post families donated only $25 apiece, we could raise nearly $9,000!  If your business or company is able to give $500 or more to this campaign, it will be invited to hang a promotional banner in The Soccer Center during the next indoor season, potentially attracting customers and goodwill from the many thousands of visitors during our indoor season.

 Please help by either participating in the golf tournament or donating directly to the Facilities Fit-up Campaign.  All donations will make a tremendous difference!
