Texas Hold'em

The U14 Boys team is sponsoring a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament on Saturday, November 12.  The event will benefit the team’s trip to Holland in April.  “No Limit Texas Hold’em On the Waterfront” will be held at the Burlington Boathouse at the foot of College Street.  Registration begins at 4 p.m. and the entry fee is $100 per player.  There are CASH prizes and refreshments will be served!

"Last year was a great success. I played for the first time and really enjoyed myself, even though I had never played,” said Executive Director Todd Kingsbury. “We hope more people within the greater Far Post family come out to support the U14 Boys as they try to raise funds towards their trip to Holland.”

Pre-registration is recommended by calling Chris Cole 658-2807 or the Far Post office at 863-8161.  You may register and pay online – simply click here!

Travel Team FAQ's

Three new pages have been added to the website for your reference!  Refer to these frequently as they will be updated on a regular basis.

Paperwork sessions were held on October 25, 26, 27 and 29.  If you were unable to attend one of the sessions, stay tuned - we’ll be scheduling an alternate time for you to take care of your paperwork.  Thanks to volunteers ~ Donna Austin-Hawley, James Franklin, Karen Harlow, Alan Mihan, Joan Shaw and Michele Viani for their valuable assistance.

For those travel team players participating in the Futsal Indoor Soccer Leagues, the schedules will be available on the “Schedules, Scores & Standings” page for each league, accessed from the Futsal homepage.  This page is updated after each game so you can see how your favorite team is doing as games are played in each session of Futsal.  Check back on a regular basis in case there are any adjustments in the schedule.

Note on Futsal:  all players must have completed the Futsal Waiver form, paid the Futsal Waiver fee of $10 to Vermont Soccer Association and paid their portion of the Futsal Team Fee in order to play!  If you have not done so, consult with your team manager or Paulette Bergeron, Business Manager at paulette@farpostsoccerclub.com.

High School Playoffs

Many of our older Far Post players have had very busy Fall seasons with their high school teams.  If you haven’t already seen our ‘wall of fame’ bulletin board, take a look the next time you are in the Fitness Edge.  We’re very proud of all of our high school players and we hope we’ve kept up with the newspaper coverage our players have received!

Best wishes message from Todd Kingsbury ~ “We at Far Post want to wish all of the Far Post players good luck in these final rounds of the playoffs.  We will be out watching as many games as possible.  Remember, work hard, believe in yourself, do your best and have fun!”
