Where Are They Now?

Several of last year’s Far Post U17-18 Girls team played soccer at their respective colleges this past Fall.  Here are some brief highlights:
  •  Kaitlin Francis & Erin Pichiotino ~ freshmen, University of Vermont; click here to view their team bios!

Erin played outside back and started 16 of 18 games helping her team go to Conference Playoffs.
She plans to major in environmental studies.

Kaitlin played center midfield in 16 games for the UVM Catamounts.  She plans to major in athletic training.

  •   Zoe Bludevich, a freshman at St. Lawrence University (NY), played in all 16 games and tallied one goal (a good head shot!).  See her college bio. She plans to major in government.

  •   Abby Newton, a freshman at Southern New Hampshire University helped her team to a 8-7-2 record this past Fall.  Abby was fortunate to travel with the team to Florida during the pre-season.  See Abby and the team!

  •   Ashley Pfaff ~ Middlebury College (see Far Post Honor Roll below).  Note:  a team-mate of Ashley’s is former Far Post player Erin Oliver, a junior, from Essex Junction.

Ashley Pfaff, a freshman at Middlebury College has been named to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) second team.  Ashley had a team high of 10 goals.  She matched the school record of four goals in a game against Castleton State College and scored a hat-trick in a key NESCAC victory over Bowdoin College.  Ashley was on Far Post’s U17-18 Girls Team last season.

Ethan Harlow, U14 Boys First Team, is one of two Vermonters selected to participate in an Interregional Olympic Development Program (ODP) Event in Austin, TX over the Thanksgiving Weekend.  The US Youth Soccer National ODP Interregional is a competition and showcase for the top Regional ODP teams in three age groups, in each of the four regions of US Youth Soccer. The teams will play a round-robin format while competing in their respective age groups.

Zaf Bludevich was among 104 Chittenden County volunteers to be honored by the Secretary of State’s office for 20 years or more of volunteer work to their communities.  Zaf has served on the Colchester Recreation and Zoning boards, the Development Review Board and the Planning Commission.  He has coached at Far Post for seven years and is the dad of former Far Poster, Zoe and Bryce (U16 Girls First Team).

  •   Far Post Travel Team players should contact their team managers to indicate their interest in playing for session II.

  •   Other groups coordinating teams should contact Futsal Manager Meg Munson, futsal@farpostsoccerclub.com to pre-register and determine if space is available in the league.

The leagues fill up very quickly and there were waiting lists in session I.  Don’t delay!
