Below, the U14 Boys fundraise for their trip!

 

Trip General Overview:

  • Transatlantic flight

  • 8 nights in hostel accommodations with breakfast

  • Trip insurance

  • Dinner and lunch daily

  • Transfers with a bilingual escort

  • Private bus for excursions

  • 8/9 (depending on match schedules) training sessions with a KNVB coach (per team – girls/boys)

  • 4 matches versus local teams (per team – girls/boys)

  • KNVB coach to attend 2 matches

  • 2 professional matches*

  • Evening “Street Football” tournament (per team – girls/boys)*

  • Visit to the Ajax stadium and museum

  • Visit of a professional youth team training or match

  • Visits of Maastricht and Amsterdam   [Top]

Trip Fees:  Based on the information received to date from Education Travel Services, the estimated trip cost per player is $2950.  All participants should follow the schedule below for their payments.  Payments must be made on time so that the club can pay Education Travel Services.

  • $500.00 ~ due November 1, 2007

  • $600.00 ~ due December 1, 2007

  • $600.00 ~ due January 1, 2008

  • $600.00 ~ due February 1, 2008

  • $650.00 (less fundraising-if applicable) ~ due March 1, 2008

To see your final balance and pay online, log into your Blue Sombrero account.  All accounts must be paid in full prior to the trip departure. 

 Those wishing to pay by check should make their check payable to Far Post Soccer Club

  • If mailing, be sure to use our correct postal address:  P O Box 5575, Essex Junction, VT  05453-5575.

  • Payments may also be made in person at the club offices.  The best time to do this is between noon and 5 p.m.  Please call if you wish to come by at a different time to be sure the Business Manager is available.  Please do not give money to your coach.  [Top]

Trip Insurance:  Click here to view coverage.  All families will be given a copy of the insurance policy with the policy number prior to departure.  Each player will have a insurance information card which needs to be completed and carried with them on the trip.  [Top]

Fundraising money:  Each team will be raising funds to help defray the costs of the trip through several projects throughout the indoor season.  Each team will set their own fundraising goals and determine how the proceeds will be divided.  All fundraising efforts will be done in accordance with club policies.   [Top]

Training Suits and Backpack:  All players should have a Far Post Training suit (jacket & pants) and backpack.  Older styles are acceptable.  The backpack will be each players' carry-on piece.  If you don’t have one and didn’t order one at the paperwork sessions, contact Paulette Bergeron immediately (paulette@farpostsoccerclub.com).  Note:  if you need additional uniform items, contact Paulette immediately.  [Top]

Passports:  At this point in time, all participants should have ordered their passports.  If you have not done so, it’s recommended that you take care of this immediately.  You may need to pay ‘rush fees’ to expedite the processing.  [Top]

Photocopy of Passport:  As soon as you receive your passport, please photocopy the picture page and send to the Far Post office (attention:  Paulette/Holland Trip).  We also need the passport spelling of each travelers’ name for the airline tickets.  [Top]

Trip Meetings:  All participants have met for a trip orientation and to discuss initial arrangements for the trip.  Two additional meetings will be held in the Spring ~ one to review rules and expectations and the other two review the final arrangements.  NEXT AND FINAL MEETING:  APRIL 13, 2 p.m.  [Top]

  • Review Baggage Requirements from Delta Airline's website -- pay close attention to restrictions for carry on.  Be sure each traveler has their 'liquids' in a quart sized ziplock bag.

  • Educational travel has provided luggage tags for all travelers to make luggage easily identified as part of the group.
