Reed Carr

U10 Boys Coach.

Reed, a native of Williston, VT, is in his 1st year on staff with the club after a 12 year hiatus.

Reed joined Far Post at the age of 9, where he continued to play for 8 years; from the 10s through the 18s. Reed also played for CVUHS for 4 years, including 2 years on varsity winning two D1 state championships.

Reed went on to St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, where he played four years, co-captaining the program in his senior year. During his time with the program Reed earned Liberty League All-Academic honors three times, the team Most Improved Player award once, and the Coach’s Award for dedication to the program once. After developing coaching skills as a FPSC camp counselor in high school, and directing the FC Freeze winter training camp at SLU, Reed looked forward to the opportunity to coach youth soccer after graduation. Reed graduated cum laude in 2010 with a combined major in Environmental Studies and Chemistry and a minor in Hispanic Studies.

After graduation, Reed moved to Washington D.C. where he began an IT career and began coaching for the Happy Feet and Legends soccer club in Ashburn, VA. After 2 years coaching rec and travel teams with Happy Feet and Legends, as well as directing the rec program, Reed moved on to Great Falls SC for 2 years and then Vienna SC for 2 years working with U9-U12 boys and girls. Reed also worked as an assistant coach for the Paul VI HS men’s soccer team in 2015 and 2016. In 2016 Reed returned to his hometown to be with family and start a family.

Reed holds his USSF E License.

In addition to his work with Far Post, Reed is also an accomplished referee working many leagues throughout Chittenden County.

Reed is a fan of many teams in the EPL and Spanish Primera and enjoys skiing, karate, ultimate frisbee, hiking, and spending time with his wife and son.
