Far Post is a big supporter of the school soccer experience and wants it's players to be fully immersed over the fall season. That said, we know that many schools have smaller, part-time programs or players are looking to supplement that experience while continuing to stay connected to their club.
For this reason, Far Post started offering Fall Programming a few years ago over the months of September and October. This is not included in the normal Far Post season and is an extra expense.
Any player can join in our training, whether they play for Far Post or not, but only Far Post players can play on our Fall League teams. Please find more info, schedule, and registration details below.
We offer a 7 week training program starting the first week of September that focuses on building a strong technical foundation and in-game tactical training. We urge our players to be bold and expressive, using skill and intuition to solve the problems that the game presents.
Club Director Todd Kingsbury will run all training sessions at Dorset Park in South Burlington. He will be assisted by a number of staff coaches.
Far Post will enter a U10, U11, and U12 team in the Fall Vermont Soccer League on both the boys and girls sides. It is a 7 week season, with games are on Sundays at the Tree Farm in Essex Jct.
At the U13 and 14 age groups, we have found that the competition is not strong enough for our teams and players and will be forming our own league in house. We will create 4 coed teams that will play each other twice each. We will then have our teams play friendly matches against other local clubs for two of the weeks according to proper age/gender. We feel that this model best serves our players and we are looking forwad to launching this fall. Games will be on Sunday afternoons.
