The Details
FPSC Oranje Academie draws upon our love of the Dutch soccer world and the need for players/students to have a safe, productive place to learn and grow. This daytime academy complements a player’s ASYNCHRONOUS school days, when they have work to do, but their schedule is flexible. Players may sign up for one or two days per week. We will host the academy on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Jared Cipriano and Kelsey Detwilier will be the amazing staff working with your students and players.

FAQs
How Does Academic Time Work? ⇲
Students will need to bring their own computer and learning materials from school, but will have the support of an adult in the learning periods. They would not be responsible for planning lessons, but would provide help, attention and guidance while students work. They will also provide assistance with choosing session-long projects for students who do not have enough academic work on their asynchronous days. Kids will be required to bring their own reading material and will have a 30-Minute Reading Period every day.
What Is Involved During Soccer Time? ⇲
A coach will work with groups at their various levels throughout the day.
How Much Does This Cost? ⇲
We are offering a discount for siblings.
One player, one day per week for seven weeks - $300 per player
Two players, one day per week for seven weeks - $275 per player
How Many Players Attend? ⇲
We need a MINIMUM of 6 players per day. We will accept a MAXIMUM of 20 players per day.
What Are Your COVID 19 Protocols? ⇲
- Health screening: All families/players will be asked to self screen daily by answering the following questions:
- Have you been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19?
- Do you feel unwell with any symptoms consistent with COVID-19? For example, have you had fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, congestion or runny nose, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea?
- Have you been following all guidelines related to Cross State Travel as updated here: https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/restart/cross-state-travel?
- Temperature checks will be performed upon entering the building
- We will wear masks while indoors during academic and soccer times. - We will take mask breaks outside when spaced more than 6 feet apart.
- During Academic times, each player will have their own table to use and will be spaced 6 feet from peers. All tables and chairs will be sanitized after each academic period.
- Bathrooms will receive a deep clean once a day and common touchpoints (door knobs, handles, faucets, etc) will be sanitized multiple times per day.
- Any shared fitness equipment will be sanitized after use.
Can My Player Have Their Phone? ⇲
Players will have access to their phone at lunch and at the end of the day. For the rest of the day they will not be allowed; they will be too busy training, working and reading to be on their phones!
Will my player need to bring their own food? ⇲
Yes. Players will need to provide their own snacks and lunch. We are a peanut/tree nut free facility.
Can you tell me more about the Independent Projects? ⇲
Players will be expected to work on some type of project. We can help players develop their projects or they can pick something they are passionate about to put together a session-long project. It can be soccer related, school related or anything of interest to players. If students need extra time for their school workload, they will be exempt from the project.
Can I sign up for one day at a time or do I need to sign up for the full 7 week session? ⇲
No. We must plan and budget for the staff and resources we will need for the session, so we must have people sign up for the full session.
My player drives. Are there any rules surrounding this? ⇲
- They may not drive other kids to and from the academy without the permission of both parents/guardians.
- They are not allowed to leave during the day without a note from parents/guardians indicating why they are leaving outside normal Academy hours.
Cancellation Questions ⇲
What if my child’s school returns to Full Time In Person School?
- If that happens, we will give a full, prorated refund for any days not used. What if we decide to drop out of the program?
- Far Post will charge a $50 administrative fee, but will provide a prorated refund for the unused days.
